Violet Kimono Cardigan Revisited
I decided to sc the bottoms so that the edges would stay put, got rid of the black ribbon and put a black long-sleeved top on the bottom and viola! A whole new look! This one is definitely a keeper!
Hi! I actually wanted to post about something completely different: Your Star Afghan pattern. It looks like you posted that in 2006 so think waaaay back... I feel like everyone "got" that pattern but me. Here's why:
I feel like in R 5, the amount of regular DC's between shells should be 6, not 5. In R 3, it is 2DC's and in R 4, it is 4DC's so why wouldn't it skip to 6 instead of 5. I'm thinking that if there is half a shell (3DC) and 4DC = 7DC on each "star point slope" of R 4, then on R 5, if you skip that last DC, you should get 6DC.
*Whew* I know it sounds crazy, and if nobody else said anything, then it's just me. HELP! :)
Rachele, thanks for pointing it out! I found a UFO of a starghan I started years ago and compared that to what I wrote and yes, round 5 should have had one more dc to it.
Now that it's fixed, I hope that everyone will be able to have a flat starghan...LOL

Cute, cute, cute. I'd love to have the pattern - is it free somewhere?
LOVE it! Fabulous color, great fit, it's perfect!
Sabine, it's an original pattern based on a heavily modified stitch in a crochet magazine. I just made it up as I went!!
Thanks Pam! Now all's I need to do is write my patterns down and submit them to publications!!
Thanks Nettie! I love this color and I'm glad I have 1 or 2 more cones of it to make even more wearables!!
You definitely need to write this up! It is an awesomely cool pattern AND the single crochet border you added is a GREAT addition!
